Visual Arts Program: Gratitude Quilt

Duration: 35 - 45 minutes

Goals: To encourage creative self-expression, reflection, sensory engagement, and social connection through creating and combining squares into a collaborative Gratitude Quilt.

Description: In this program, participants each design their own paper quilt square using markers, coloured pencils, pastels, or collage materials. Each square represents something they feel thankful for - such as a loved one, a favourite place, a meaningful memory, or a value that brings them joy. At the end, the squares are joined together to form a collective Gratitude Quilt, celebrating the strengths of the community. The activity combines personal expression with a shared purpose and creates a meaningful artwork to display.
