Silvia Li
Community Programs & Creative Psych Clinic Manager
Silvia is a trained music therapist with a long-standing belief in the power of the creative arts to foster connection, healing, and growth. Her musical journey began early—at age one with a gifted piano—and evolved into years of intensive classical training, performance, and competition. She holds an ARCT in Piano Performance and a Master of Music Therapy degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is certified as an MTA (currently inactive), as well as a Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT).
Silvia has worked across a range of settings, including palliative care, children’s rehabilitation, and geriatric care, with a particular passion for supporting children and youth. While she is not currently practicing as a music therapist, she continues to teach adapted music lessons privately and remains grounded in a person-centred, creative approach in all areas of her life.
Having previously been part of the MIYA Creative Care team as a music therapist nearly a decade ago, Silvia is delighted to return in a new role as Community Programs and Creative Psych Clinic Manager. She brings her love of people, systems, and organization to support meaningful programming and smooth day-to-day operations.
