Shriya Kahn
Shriya is a certified music therapist who completed a Bachelor of Music Therapy with a Minor in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. She completed her clinical internship at a paediatric rehabilitation hospital in Toronto. Shriya also received her Neurologic Music Therapist Certification from the Academy of Music Therapy. Her clinical experience includes paediatric populations with autism, ADHD, and developmental disabilities, as well as long term care, mental health, rehabilitation and brain damage. Shriya loves creating spaces for her clients to feel seen, heard and safe.
She emphasizes a compassionate, warm, human-centered and culturally informed approach. Shriya believes that music therapy has a myriad of benefits to enhance one’s health and holistic well-being and strives to ensure her clients can experience this potential. Shriya is a steelpan player and also enjoys using her voice, piano, guitar and other instruments during sessions
