Mimian Cheng

Music Therapist

Mimian is a certified music therapist who graduated from the Master of Music Therapy program at Wilfrid Laurier University. She completed her clinical internships in a variety of settings including pediatric rehabilitation, hospice and palliative care, mental health, and long-term care. Mimian emphasizes a person, culture, and strengths-based approach when working with clients and aims to create a safe and supportive environment for all. She believes music is a form of personal expression and connection, and when used intentionally can support a person's well-being and growth. Mimian is classically trained in cello and piano, but also enjoys incorporating voice and guitar in her sessions.
