Linnea MacCullum
Music Therapist
Linnea graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology. She is a certified music therapist (MTA) and a Professional Affiliate (NMTâ„¢) of the Neurologic Music Therapy Academy.
Linnea specializes in working with older adults and individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia in both individual and group sessions. Her approach is person-centred, focusing on clients’ strengths and abilities while fostering a safe, welcoming, and creative space. She utilizes a variety of instruments, including guitar, piano, and voice, in musical experiences such as songwriting, improvisation, and familiar songs. In sessions, Linnea strives to create opportunities for clients to be fully present in the moment, exploring the musical space together without judgment or pressure for perfection.
