Justine Stehouwer

Music Therapist

Justine graduated from Capilano University in 2013 and completed her certification internship at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, focused on inpatient psychiatric care. Since then, her work in private and community practice in Toronto, Caledon and Hamilton has involved supporting adults and adolescents living with mental illness, acquired brain injury, and physical and/or developmental challenges. Justine continues to focus on seniors’ wellness, mental health and dementia care in her work in hospital and long-term care settings. She believes in using music and creative experiences to provide her clients with opportunities to communicate, connect, and reach their goals. Justine has experience supervising students and interns, and is an advocate for Music Therapy through volunteering and presenting in the community.
