Golzar Safakish
Art Therapist
Golzar is a compassionate and dedicated art therapist who supports individuals in exploring their emotions, strengths, and personal stories through creative expression. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University and completed her professional training at the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy. Golzar works with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and significant life transitions. She also specializes in supporting older adults, particularly those living with dementia
and functional mobility challenges. Guided by a person-centered approach, she thoughtfully adapts each session to align with her clients’ abilities and comfort levels, fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing space where creativity can flourish. She believes that art is a powerful pathway to growth, meaningful self-expression, and resilience at every stage of life.
